Historic Egg & Dart Bowl Pendant-3726-PBC2
This beautiful historic egg-and-dart bowl pendant is part of a family of fixtures Crenshaw built for the Supreme Court of the United States Modernization project in 2005. This was one of two basic bowl designs which were replicated in varying suspension lengths and configurations across hundreds of fixtures built for the court. The fixtures provided energy efficient lighting, and improved light levels, all with an historic fixture design in keeping with the court’s Neo-Classical aesthetic. The lamping package engineered by Crenshaw delivers powerful performance in dimmable 4-pin compact fluorescent. The bowl is illuminated with (4) 18W quad biax compact fluorescent lamps within a covered lens compartment. A powerful uplighting element is delivered by (8) 42W triple biax compact fluorescent lamps to provide ambient lighting and highlight the ceilings in the chamber offices where these pendants are installed. Fixtures are solid brass, with a custom cast egg-and-dart trim ring, custom finial, and ornate crown elements. The lens is a flashed white opal glass bowl with a wave pattern in etched raised relief. Finished in a mixed satin and polished aged brass finish.
